Welcome to the Loveless wiki; here you can read all about a turn-based strategy & tactical role-playing game called "Loveless", developed by Somnivore Games. It was invented by a guy who goes by Somnivore on the internet, and was first conceived on September 3rd, 2018, after watching a streamer named witwix play a round of Pokemon HG/SS Randomizer Nuzlocke, and playing a Pokemon romhack called Pokemon Crystal Clear which injected open-world elements into the otherwise linear Pokemon games. As the idea was developed and refined, and more ideas kept elbowing their way in, the game went from a fairly standard Pokemon clone to the grand game it is today.

Loveless?[]

It's kinda like a mix between Pokemon, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Civilization V. Except in Hell. You're a demon, who contracts other demons to fight in your demon army. Your goal is to gain wealth and power, through the conquering of the eight kingdoms of Hell by amassing legions to fight on your behest, culminating in a siege against the spheres of Heaven. It's a very slow and methodical game, requiring lots of thought as to your next move both in the world and in battles (if you hadn't noticed by the games it's inspired by), so if you're more of an action type, you might not like it. That said, it's a lot faster than those games mentioned, and you should be able to work through the game within a few hours...that is, assuming you can.

Some notable features[]

  1. Large variety of demons for you to contract and train; feed them souls to make them metamorphose!
  2. Tactical battle system inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea, and their granddaddy: chess
  3. Lightweight strategic elements allowing you to grow your empire and assign puppet kings to conquered kingdoms
  4. Permadeath for your demons: a Nuzlocke kind of experience
  5. Forgiving player death mechanics revolving around a conspiracy against God & Heaven
  6. Delegate your demons, making them do the work instead: never grind if you don't want to!
  7. Lots of playable characters and a randomly generated world map: no two runs are ever alike!
  8. Non-linear and annoyance-free: no text boxes to mash through and no artificial progression blockers!
